If you want to make money online with your blog, then you have to stick with some basic principles.It all starts with your blog topic and it all starts today.First pick something that you enjoy and can see yourself writing about for months,secondly ask yourself if this topic can be monetized eventually?
The easiest way to make money online with your blog,is with Google AdSense, we'll leave that for another post,but it is a natural easy thing to apply to your blog and should be applied at the right time.But now is not the time, so lets continue.

Blogging has become a very popular thing to do,and there are so many things to learn about the topic..Words like vlog, permalink, podcast, post,templates, different themes, it can be very over whelming, especially if your trying to make money online and are just starting out, who has the time to learn all this?...Just Relax! lets just stick with the basics that really matter, and take it one step at a time.

Now let me just say that blogging is somewhat new to me, but I ran across an individual, that has mastered the principles of making money online by blogging.I won't mention his name just yet,not on this post, but I really respect his authority and teaching skills about the power of blogging, and how it relates to Google.I just hope that I can guide anyone that is struggling to understand the basics of how one goes about making money online with a simple blog.

The second thing you should do, is set up a blog! How? Just set up a free blog like this one that I have. Just visit Blogger.com, and get yourself set up with a completely free Blog, and they are really very easy to create, and to maintain.

Before you go ahead and jump into blogging, you need to decide on a name.This is very critical, if your thinking about making money online with your blog.You need to pick a name,that is theme related, and keyword rich!
Using the same example we used earlier, my name selection might be "http:// MakingMoneyBlogs.blogspot.com" and the title would incorporate those same words, all in relationship to one another.

The URL or website name is a important when it comes to Google's search engines. The more popular the topic is, the harder it will be to acquire the name, but just remember it's OK to use dashes to separate words, just don't get crazy! Here is an example on how a URL name is important. If your doing a Google search for vintage electric guitars, you will notice that one of the top listings, is this particular website URL VintageElectricGuitar.org/ If you investigate further, you will notice that there is no content whatsoever within the site...It's completely empty!
The only thing it really has going for it,is it's title, which you will notice in the top left corner of the browser, and the URL. Both match, so you can see how important it is that the URL of your blog,match the title of your Blog!

Spread your main keyword which would be blog or blogging,in the title, the first paragraph, and the last sentence of your post.In the main body of your post, you want to use related words that describe your main keyword.So if your blog was about bikes, some related words might be mountain bikes,track bikes,kids bicycles,custom racing bikes,..all related but not just bike.Another name for these keywords are "long tail"keywords, and when using these words, you will rank higher in the more specific search term like "custom racing bike." so what ends up happening, is that your main keyword "Bike" will be boosted when they rank well.
